The Rezekne river flows from one lake to another for 116 km. It outflows from the lake called the Latgale sea – from the Razna lake – and inflows in the largest lake in Latvia – the Lubans lake.

For 10 km, the river flows across Rezekne city and divides the city into two parts. Along its whole length, the river can be used for water tourism and during the whole season rest on boats, including pneumatic, kayaks and canoe is available.

The kayak rental Mirka provides necessary inventory and offers routes of various lengths:

• Spruzeva – Rezekne (~15 km),
• Rezekne – Taurinka (~20 km).
