Environmental Object Water Pot

The Water Pot is a large, stylised water pot supplemented with the flowing water. It is located at the bank of the Rezekne river and was intentionally made as a modern stylistic response to the Latgale ceramic legacy, by using the shape of one of the most popular ceramic household items in Latgale.

In Latgale, clay is often referred to as gold. This is one of the bases of the regional cultural canon on which the Latgalian ceramics being a brand now is grounded. Use of clay as a material is a long-time tradition in Latgale, and this object is a tribute to skills that have been transferred over centuries.
