In the program The Silent Voice, pianist and composer Robert Fleitz will play the works of contemporary Latvian, Estonian and Lithuanian authors Jānis Petraškevičs, Linda Leimanes, Helena Tulve, Marianna Liik, Raimonda Žiūkaitė, Riho Maimets, Rytis Mažulis, showing this Baltic the great variety of modern and postmodern music of the countries. The concert program will be the premiere of the album recorded in 2024 at the Latgale Embassy GORS and a presentation concert. The pianist describes the idea of ​​the concert program as follows: “While studying at the Juilliard School in New York, I often collaborated with Baltic composers living abroad. While studying at Jāzeps Vītolas Latvian Academy of Music, I myself was a foreigner. Today, living and working in Finland, the music of Baltic composers is still an integral part of my creative activity. Each of these experiences has helped me to understand the creative diversity of Baltic composers, which is very often not recognized or misunderstood in North America and Europe.”
