On May 12 at 15:00, a meeting with Māris Čačka and the opening of his solo exhibition “Blooming” will take place at the Art Gallery of the Latgale Embassy GORS.

The exhibition conceptualizes “blooming” as an existential state rather than a depiction of flowers. The exhibition will be on view at the Latgale Embassy GORS from May 12 until July 12.

“Blooming is not about flowers. It is about the moment when everything accumulated unfolds and becomes presence,” says Māris Čačka.

The exhibition “Blooming” represents a stage of life when accumulated experience takes on a visible form — not as a climax, but as a time-matured quality of presence.

Māris Čačka is a Latvian artist who has developed a unique hybrid method of abstract expression, combining painting and graphic art.
His style is characterized by a free yet controlled use of color, merging gestural expression with structured composition. He has been participating in exhibitions since 1997, and since 2001 he has regularly organized solo exhibitions and taken part in group shows, symposia, plein-air events, and other art activities in Latvia and internationally.
