➤ Dabasu Durovys represents an important chapter in the development of contemporary Latgalian popular music. The band is one of the region’s most active musical groups, consistently preserving its unique identity by performing in the Latgalian variety of the Latvian language.

Founded in Daugavpils in 2006, Dabasu Durovys blends pop rock with indie and folk influences. The band’s founder and creative leader is Arnis Slobožaņins. Since its formation, the group has released several studio albums and has become one of the best-known musical ambassadors of the Latgale region.

Dabasu Durovys is more than just a band – it is a cultural phenomenon demonstrating that a regional language and contemporary popular music can successfully come together to create meaningful, high-quality art that resonates with audiences throughout Latvia.
