Richard STRAUSS “Alpine Symphony”

Tarmo Peltokoski, together with the LNSO, has chosen to play his compatriot Kaija Sariaho’s work Laterna Magica, which took its name and inspiration from the autobiography of the great film director Ingmar Bergman and the predecessor of the image projector of the same name created in the 17th century. Also in the program is Richard Strauss with his most remarkable symphonic work in terms of player composition, “Symphony of the Alps”, which reflects the presence of nature and an adventurous ascent in the mountains.
