ALL THE BIRDS SING BEAUTIFULLY. Special screening with director Krista Burāne
In the beginning, there was the forest — then came the stage performance, and later, the film. The yellow wagtail, skylark, white-backed thrush, corncrake, and hazel grouse have regained not only their voices but also taken on human form, elegant tuxedos, and names to tell ancient stories. As theatrical metamorphoses intertwine with the creative team’s reflections and relationships with nature, a field of connections emerges that extends beyond the viewer. Where do my boundaries begin, and where do the bird’s wings and the tree’s branches end? Can culture, standing upon the altar of nature, also protect it — or only shimmer in the light like a saw?
Director, screenplay: Krista Burāne.
