Rēzekne Olympic Center
The Rēzekne open-air swimming pool is the only one of its kind in the Baltics! It is a unique opportunity to feel like you are in a southern resort for a moment!
The outdoor swimming pool, opened in 2017, offers swimming in a 25m long pool with 6 lanes, relaxation options in jacuzzis, a sauna and a sunbathing terrace. The complex also has a pool specially designed for children with a slide and other entertainment and leisure elements. Considering that the water temperature in the outdoor swimming pool is +27 °C, in the small children’s pool +29 °C and in the hot tub +35 °C, you can experience water fun even on days when the sun hides behind the clouds!
Meanwhile, in moments when it is really hot outside, you can cool off in the ice rink in the Olympic Center complex. You can skate in the ice rink of the Olympic Center “Rēzekne” with your own skates or rent them on site. Experienced skaters have the opportunity to sharpen their skates, while beginners can rent special skating training equipment – “bears”.
Park of Lake Rēzekne
If you want to go for a walk, swim, rent water recreation equipment and enjoy delicious food, you should definitely go to Rēzekne Lake Park. It is a great place in the city center by the lake, which has become a popular recreation spot for every nature and active recreation lover, where in addition to a 3km nature walking trail, there is a wakeboard track, a well-maintained beach and children’s playgrounds. Meanwhile, in the nearby “Laivu māja” you will be able to enjoy the joys of active recreation on the water – rent a catamaran, SUP board, boat or canoe, bladder, jet ski or motorboat. There is a cafe nearby, where you can eat delicious oven-baked pizzas, sushi, as well as enjoy the lake’s charm on the outdoor terrace in the summer.
Summer program at the Embassy of Latgale GORS
This summer, the GORS roof terrace of the Latgale Embassy will once again transform into a special open-air cinema venue where films and food meet. For only 4 evenings throughout the summer, GORS invites you to cinema screenings with a special atmosphere – sunset, city views and carefully selected films about food, flavours and enjoying life. Two evenings will be dedicated to leisurely enjoyment with brunch-style catering, while two screenings will allow you to indulge in a classic cinema experience with the opportunity to purchase snacks and drinks. In turn, at the end of the summer – a music festival for family and friends “LNSO VASARNĪCA”. Parks and walking trails in the city
The Culture and Recreation Park in Rēzekne is located in the very center of the city. Its territory is divided into several zones, where everyone will find their favorite activity. For the most active – a new skate park, for the most sporty – a BMX bike track and an outdoor training area. Families with smaller children have the opportunity to relax in an environmentally friendly children’s playground made of wood.
The Rēzekne River Promenade (Krasta Street) connects the Olympic Center “Rēzekne” and the Latgale Embassy GORS, and when taking a walk along the Rēzekne River, it is possible to view the city panorama from the castle mound square, get acquainted with the historical names of the city on the bas-reliefs of the bridge, as well as visit the sights on the route – the Latgale Embassy GORS, the youth center “Zeimuļs” with its leaning towers and the ruins of the 13th century castle.
Children's recreation centers
If the weather is not good and it is not pleasant to be outside with children, there are several indoor family recreation centers available in the city. One of them is “Kidzone Rēzekne”, which offers children a wide range of entertainment – slides, ball pools, trampolines, a mini climbing wall, air hockey, two separate children’s areas for smaller and larger children, party room rental and other exciting attractions.

Latgale Culture and History Museum
For those who want to get to know Latgale in more depth this summer, the Latgale Museum of Cultural History offers not only permanent exhibitions about the history of Rēzekne and Latgale, but also special creative workshops for groups of 5 people. In the workshops, you can feel like a ceramic master and create your own unique clay object, create a small rose lap, where each rose will be in its own color, and create your own special museum souvenir – a wooden magnet with one of the rose images.
